Eight pistols and 70 sharp-edged and button knives were surrendered on Thursday by people here to the police who launched a drive against online purchase of such products.
A dozen of these were bought by minors, Durg Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal told The Pioneer. The police also seized 2 air guns, an axe and a dagger ordered through an online platform. The police urged the people not to buy such products.
