Seventy five per cent of the samples collected in a camp to test purity of milk being supplied in Sector 10 here were found of sub standard quality on Tuesday, officials stated.
The drive christened ‘Doodh Ka Doodh, Pani Ka Pani ’ is a joint initiative of Chhattisgarh State Dairy Federation (CSDF) and Kamdhenu University to check quality of the milk being consumed across the State, an official press release stated.
On the first day of the drive in Bhilai, as many as 100 samples of milk were collected. Out of this, only 25 samples cleared the test while 75 were found of sub-standard quality.
CSDF officials concerned informed that a camp will be organised in Nehru Nagar Chowk near Dhanwantari Hospital on Wednesday where milk samples collected from the locals will be tested on the spot in a Mobile laboratory.
