Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ajay Chandrakar informed the Chhattisgarh Assembly on Friday that a total of 70 Maoists were killed by security forces between January 1, 2015 and January 31, 2016.
In a written reply to Congress member Bhupesh Baghel, Chandrakar said that a total of 778 Maoists were arrested during the aforesaid period while 409 surrendered.
As on January 31, 2016, a total of 2715 Maoists who carry a prize on their head have been absconding, he informed.
