After a door to door Covid survey across Chhattisgarh, 6,571 Covid positive patients have been identified, it was announced on Tuesday.
Also, if any government employee who is on election duty dies due to Covid infection, his family will get a financial assistance of Rs 30 lakh, an official press release said.
The state-wide survey was held between October 5 and 12.
According to the Health Department, 55.92 lakh households across the state were surveyed and 116,250 suspected Covid patients were detected.
Based on the symptoms, 107,414 people went through rapid antigen test out of which 6,571 people found Covid positive. All these people were provided Covid care after the tests, the press release said.
As per the official data, Raipur was the top district where the maximum number of households were covered – 412,428. In Naxalite-affected Narayanpur, only 24,891 households were covered -- the least.
Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer Reena Baba Kangale has announced that Rs 30 lakh will be given to family members of government employees engaged in election duty if he or she dies due to coronavirus infection.
