Fifty-three students and staff were found Covid-19 positive at the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in village Chhindpali in Chhattisgarh's Mahasamund district on Tuesday. But all of them are out of danger.
Mahasamund Collector Nilesh Kumar Kshirsagar said the school principal has been asked to provide the best medical care to everyone. The doctors have been told to ensure all the necessary treatment and medicines and conduct regular check-ups.
Kshirsagar said a large number of children were getting infected as all of them were staying in hostels and having food together. The tests conducted on them came positive.
The District Chief Medical and Health Officer stated that there was nothing to panic.
