As part of ‘Child Labour Prevention Week’, on direction of Raipur District Magistrate and Collector S Bharatidasan, inspection was conducted in different factories and industries in Raipur district and rescued 51 child labourers.
According to Raipur District Programme Officer, women and child development department Ashok Pandey, a joint team of District Child Protection Officer, labour department, Childline and Bachpan Bachao conducted extensive inspection of different industries based at Urla, Siltara, Arang, Mandir Hasaud, Bhanpuri, Tatibandh, Heerapur and Santoshi Nagar areas in and around the capital city, Raipur.
The team found the minor boys were working there. They were handed over to Child Welfare Committee. All these boys will be sent for counseling.
