Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday announced that power production units will be established in villages if Gauthans daily procure 5 quintals of cow dung.
The Chief Minister said this while at a function at the Science College ground here.
Baghel said now Gauthans have become a center for livelihood activities. Besides vermicompost, cow dung is utilized to make diya and natural paint and even generatie electricity.
Half of the 10,000 Gauthans in the state have become self-supporting, Baghel said.
