District Collector Ritu Sen has appointed five nodal officers for paddy and maize procurement for Kharif Marketing Year 2014-15.
District Marketing Officer of Ambikapur Development Block R P Mishra has been appointed as Nodal officer for Darima, Karji, Karra, Mendrakala and Namnakala procurement centres.
District Food Officer G S Rathore has been appointed as Nodal officer for lakhanpur, Jamgala, Amera, Kunni and Chando procurement centres of lakhanpur development block and Udaypur, Dandgaon, Salka procurement centres belonging to Udaypur development block.
The Marketing Officer of District Cooperative Central Bank Dhansiram Agrawal is appointed for Batauli, Sedam and Bataikela paddy procurement centres of Batauli development block.
The District Manager of Civil Supplies Corporation S C Dwivedi is appointed for Narmadapur, Rajapur, and Vandana procurement centres of Manpat development block. Deputy Registrar of Cooperative department Avdhesh Minj is appointed as Nodal Officer for Sitapur Bhusu, Pratapgarh, Kerju procurement centres of Sitapur development block.
On November 21, this year Sen had directed officials to start preparing for the paddy procurement exercise from December 1 to January 31.
She had directed officials to distribute the tokens to the farmers on the basis of which the paddy purchasing will be conducted.
Chairing a meeting with the Directors of the Rice Mills and officials engaged in the paddy procurement work, the Collector had directed to arrange for gunny bags before the commencement of the paddy procurement exercise.
