As part of 'SAIl Foundation Day' celebrations on January 24, the Sports Culture and Civic Amenities Department of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) will organize 5 kilometres long marathon run in the Township.
The marathon run would commence from Jayanti Stadium, Indira Place at 8 am. Contestants from men, women, boys and girls category including SAIl employees and their family members, former employees and students from schools run by BSP are entitled to participate in the marathon race, a BSP press release informed.
According to information, the categories earmarked for participating in the race for girls, women, boys, and men are students studying up to class VI, from class VII to XII and above class XII up to the age of 45 years. Along with those above the age of 46 up to 60 years and superannuated employees can participate in the marathon.
The registration of participants will commence from January 10 and will continue till January 22 during office hours from 10 am to 1 pm and from 4 pm to 6 pm at Jayanti Stadium.
Interested participants should bring with them their Identity Card and students from BSP managed schools should bring with them the certificate issued by their schools mentioning the class.
Besides, the BSP schools can also register the names of the students intending to participate in the scheduled marathon by sending its separate list. The list should be attested by the Principals of respective schools.
The contestants from all categories should assemble at Jayanti Stadium, Indira Place at 7 am where all necessary instructions concerning the route will be apprised to them.
