long distance travel to do work became easier for as many as 46,000 daily wagers women with the Chhattisgarh government providing them each a bicycle.
The women who work mostly in construction sector are not only saving their times, but also making themselves independent and self reliant. It is also helping them to reduce expenditure. At least 5.37 lakh construction women workers have registered themselves and the government has been provided so far cycles to 45,845 women under chief minister cycle sahayata Yojana. The bicycles are being distributed to them
by the labour department and Karmakar Kalyan Mandal. Highest 11048 cycles have been distributed in the district of Rajnandgaon followed Raipur district where more than six thousands women have got the benefit.
