Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda informed Chhattisgarh Assembly on Thursday that a total of 4,512 fire incidents took place in the conserved forest areas of the State between January 2016 and December 2017.
In a written reply to Congress member Amarjeet Bhagat, the Minister informed that the fire incidents affected an area of 6179.28 hectares of land.
