leader of Congress legislative Party (ClP) TS Singhdeo criticised the Union Minister of State for Environment, Forests and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar for his remarks that trees can be planted but coal cannot be made.
Singhdeo said: ‘We can plant trees but a jungle takes hundreds of years to grow.’
“His statement seems like that of a corporate agent,” he further said.
There has been four per cent decrease of forest cover in Chhattisgarh, Singhdeo said. The Union Minister’s statement under these circumstances is really unfortunate, he added.
