Chhattisgarh Police on Saturday busted a Road Safety Cricket World Series betting racket here and arrested three persons.
The three were identified as Arun Rao (42) and Bhanu Pratap Verma (21), both from Raipur district, and Shubham Sharma (22) of Mungeli district.
Raipur Senior Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav told The Pioneer that they were nabbed with Rs 28,900 in cash besides three mobile phones.
Police conducted a raid on Friday night after getting a tip about the racket inside the Shaheed Veer Narayan International Cricket Stadium in a match played between Bangladesh Legends and West Indies Legends.
The accused were taking online bets on the match, the officer said.
