Three colliery employees were killed while two labourers seriously injured when the roof of SECl’s Hasdeo underground mines at Behrabandh collapsed in the district, police said.
Five colliery employees had got buried under the debris , Bijuri Police Station SHO MB Prajapati informed.
The employees after the incident informed the SECl management who arranged to take out the five labourers who were buried in the debris,
he said.
The SECl management admitted the injured colliery employees at Central Hospital and Bijuri Hospital respectively, the SHO added.
The names of three employees who died are — Sahdev, Ram Bharose and Bisahu whereas the severely injured are Kailash and lakhan who are undergoing treatment, he said.
