“Covid cases are increasing across India and Chhattisgarh. Last year we had taken measures to control it and succeeded. Now also we need to strictly follow the guidelines when cases are increasing in Raipur, Durg and Bemetara districts,” Singh Deo said in a press release.

He called for more testing and contact tracing. He sought more oxygenated beds in Raipur.

The Minister instructed proper monitoring of Covid patients and supply of medicines to the patients.

“We need to make people understand that even after taking both doses of Covid vaccine, they should continue to use mask and follow Covid protocol as vaccinated people can also get Covid infection,” Singh Deo said.

Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey suggested that if required, Collectors can use DMF and CSR funds. Choubey asked for rules to be forced in the containment zones strictly and said people roaming in public without mask must be fined.
