On the occasion of World Blood Donation Day a blood donation camp is organized at lafarge Cement office.
The camp was organised in collaboration with Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical Sciences, Bilaspur. The camp was inaugurated by Aarif Sheikh, Commissioner of Police and Sanjay Joshi, Vice President, lafarge Cement plant, Arasmeta. Sheikh addressing those present at the occasion said, Blood donation is the noblest of all causes, it is the easiest way to help someone.
Everyone should donate blood that may save someone’s life. The camp, which commenced at 10 am saw people from all walks of life donating blood. Employees, labourers, and people from surrounding areas volunteered to donate blood at the camp. lafarge surpassed their last year’s record by collecting 222 units of blood and all the units were given to CIMS, Bilaspur.
