The major reshuffle in the election-bound State has affected postings of 22 IPS officers, including Inspector General of Police (IGP), DIG, AIG, district Superintendents of Police (SP).
The re-shuffle ahead of State Assembly elections scheduled by end of the year has affected postings of 5 IPS under probation in State.
Officials informed that Pawan Dev who was IG Rail, telecommunication and training has been given the charge of director public prosecution Chhattisgarh, Raipur.
Director public prosecution Rajkumar Dewangan would now take the charge of IG law and order Police Headquarters (PHQ) Raipur. In the same way IG CAF, Naxal Operations DR MS Tomar has been shifted as IG CAF PHQ. IG Criminal Investigation Department PHQ Himanshu Gupta would be now IG CID and IG Telecommunication (additional charge. Further IG CAF PHQ, SRP Kalluri has been given additional charge of IG Naxal Operations.
BPS Paousharya DIG Jail, Raipur been shifted as DIG (confidential) PHQ. AIG Ankit Garg has been moved as Commandant 2nd battalion CAF Bilaspur. HR Manhar AIG Raipur has been shifted to 14th battalion CAF Dallrairajhara. HC Dwivedi Chief Security officer Mantralalya would be now SP Mungeli.
According to official information SP Bl Meena has been shifted to Bilaspur from Korba and SP Ratan lal Dangi would replace him at Korba. Similarly RS Nayak has been posted as SP Kawardha and Manish Sharma has been given charge of SP Rail. SP Mahasamund Neethu Kamal has shifted to PHQ and Jitendra Meena has been moved as SP Jashpur. likewise IPS Ramgopal Garg has been made SP Korea while Abhishek Pathak would take the charge of SP Gariabandh.
Further IPS HC Dwivedi has been shifted as SP Mungeli and BK Jha would take the charge of SP Mahasamund.
Probationary IPS Girja Shankar Jaiswal who is presently Additional Superintend of Police (ASP) Surguja has been moved as ASP (Rural) Raipur.
IPS Sadanand Kumar who is currently in charge of SDOP Champa has been shifted to ASP Rural, Durg. Similarly IPS Abhishek Meena currently posted as DSP Bilaspur has been given charge of ASP (City) Bilaspur. IPS Indira Kalyan Elesel (2011 batch) been given the charge of CSP Aazad Chwok Raipur. IPS Santosh Kumar Singh who is also under probation has been given charge of CSP Durg.
