A special 21-day vocational games training session is underway at Narayanpur from Thursday in which the students will being given training on games such as badminton, cricket, kabaddi, football,  and volleyball among others.

District Collector Yashwant Kumar in his inaugural address urged the students to take full advantage of the session to learn the basics of the games in letter and spirit so that it would help them do well in future.

Proper training  in a game, he said not only would make one perfect in that game but also in one’s personality as well.

According to him, there was no dearth of talent, but lack of training and opportunity to show case their talents forced them to live in oblivion.

He instructed the officials to involve as many children –boys and girls – in the special training session to promote their talents and provide all basic amenities required.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Kamble said, games always helped in personality development and urged them to continue to participate in games and sports events for a better life.

Even though, it is a non-residential session, the Collector ordered the organizers to provide basic facilities to students who would attend it from far off places.
