The Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Protection Department has allotted 20. 77 lakh quintals of ration to all 27 districts of the State for the current month of February under Public Distribution System (PDS).
This includes 18.18 lakh quintals of rice, 71,661 quintals of wheat, 47,687 quintals of grams, 57, 641 quintals of sugar, and 81,484 quintals of iodized salt, an official press release informed.
The allotted food grains will be distributed to ration card holders of all categories, to schools for midday meal programme, Aanganwadi centres for distribution of nutritious supplement meal and execution of Mahatari Jatan Yojana, hostels-ashrams and welfare organisations.
