Revenue Minister Prem Prakash Pandey informed the Chhattisgarh Assembly on Thursday that 780.723 hectares of agricultural land had been acquired from farmers in nine villages for NTPC lara project in Raigarh district.
In a written reply to leader of Opposition T S Singhdeo, the Minister informed that a total of 1755 affected people have been provided rehabilitation grant whose land was acquired.
He said that a total of 223 unemployed persons have been provided employment from affected families with contract agencies involved with the project.
