Two women insurgents carrying rewards of Rs1 lakh each on their heads, surrendered before Bijapur Superintendent of Police (SP) K l Dhruva and 199th Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Commandant S S Upadhyay here on Wednesday.
Both the insurgents are members of Kiskodo area local Guerrilla Squad (lGS), police said. The surrendered insurgents Gadwa Masa alias Amar Singh and Masi Madavi alias Sanmati were booked for murder, attack on security forces, bomb blasts and other criminal activities.
Superintendent of Police (SP) (Naxal Ops) Girja Shankar Jaiswal while addressing a press conference said that both the surrendered insurgents were active members of Kiskodo lGS Dalam under Amabeda police station limits in Kanker district.
