The spouses of employees from Rail and Structural Mills (R&SM) were taken on an escorted visit of Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) by Personnel Department (Mills Zone) under ‘Aap Bhi Janiye’ programme.
The spouses were welcomed at a function held at HRDC, Bhilai, where GM (R&S M) AV Kamlakar was present as the chief guest while GM (Personnel) H.R.Choudhari and DGM I/c (Personnel Works) Anurag Nagar attended the occasion as the special invitees. In his address, Kamlakar apprised the spouses of employees about the reason behind organising a plant visit for them.
He also exhorted them to abide by all the safety regulations during their visit to different production units under BSP. The main objective behind organising such plant visit for the spouses of employees is to familiarise the spouses of employees with the process of production and working conditions in the unit under BSP where their husbands work, he said.
The spouses of employees from R&S Mill visited Rail and Structural Mill, Coke Ovens, Blast Furnaces, SMS-2 and Plate Mill, where they observed the production process and also the different products being produced by BSP. The visit concluded after Senior Manager (Personnel, Mills Zone-2) proposed the vote of thanks.
