The 23nd annual function of Bal Bhavan was held at Dr BR Ambedkar Auditorium here at NTPC Township. Prakash Tiwari, Group General Manager, NTPC Korba graced the occasion. Tiwari in his address lauded the initiatives of Bal Bhavan, especially the ladies Club members, in bringing up the institution to this level.
He also appealed the Bal Bhavan fraternity and the audience to help increase the strength of the institution by opting for it in more numbers. Dipanwita Mukherjee, vice-president, Maitri Mahila Samiti, presented the welcomed address while Chandrasekhar, In-charge, Bal Bhavan presented the annual report on this occasion.
Children of Bal Bhavan put up their performance including Saraswati Vandana, Bollywood dance and Chandalika (a dance drama) as part of the cultural programme held on this occasion.
Among others, Ram Das, GM (Operation), S Mukherjee, GM (Maintenance), Seema Tiwari, president, MMS, Dipanwita Mukherjee and Snehalata Ram Das, vice-presidents, members of ladies Club, employees and their families, representatives of Unions/Associations were present. Punni Viswakarma anchored the programme.
