It’s the scorching heat of summer and the ongoing busy marriage season in Chhattisgarh. However, voters seem to have ignored both to perform their national duties first on Thursday.
While the marriages went on in Assembly segments of the three lok Sabha constituencies which went to polls on Thursday, people chose early morning hours as a better time to cast their vote and then attend to marriage ceremonies. The fervent call by the district administration officials in all the Assembly segments of the three constituencies to motivate people to vote has largely paid its dividends. The voters particularly in the rural areas were seen enthusiastically lining up at the polling booths.
