Two staff nurses have been suspended and one 'Ward Ayah' has been served show cause notice in connection with falling of newborn child in a dustbin and its death at Maharani Hospital in Jagdalpur, Public Health, Family Planning and Medical Education Department Minister Ajay Chandarkar informed Chhattisgarh Assembly on Tuesday.
He was replying to a question raised by Congress member Deepak Baij.
Baij had questioned whether any newborn child had died due to falling into dustbin at Maharani Hospital in Jagdalpur and thereafter what kind of probes were conducted.
The Minister informed the House that three different probes were conducted in the case.
A Magisterial probe was carried out by SDM on directives of the district Collector, an investigation was conducted by Health DME and one another probe by Health Advisor was conducted, he said
Two staff nurses have been suspended while an Ayah has been served show cause notice in the incident, he added.
