District Collector S Prakash and all the officials at the Collectorate observed two-minute silence to pay homage to the victims of Saturday’s massacre in Darbha Ghati in the Bastar region before the commencement of the time-bound meeting here.
later, chairing the meeting, Prakash directed officials to expedite the work on cases pertaining to Panchayats and Social Welfare Department.
He said that the process of disposal of applications received during the Jandarshan programme will be expedited and asked the officials to provide detailed information on the status of payments made under the old age pension scheme and other pension schemes through bank accounts.
The Collector also asked the officials to ensure timely redressal of pending applications and problems related to drinking water, all development works and welfare oriented schemes of the State Government.
Present in the meeting were- CEO, District Panchayat, K l Chouhan, Additional Collector R D Diwan, Divisional Forest Officer Vishvesh Kumar besides other officials.
Meanwhile, In-charge Collector of Bemetara and CEO of Durg District Panchayat, Ayyaz Fakir Bhai Tamboli chaired the time bound meeting at the District Collectorate to review department-wise activities taken up in the district.
During the meeting, the In-charge Collector directed the officials to bring momentum in the development work assigned to various agencies and complete all works by June 30 this year.
A review of food grains storage done by the various committees and their distribution to farmers, revenue collection, details on the land allotted in the name of schools and paddy procurement by committees was done in the meeting.
Tamboli also informed the officials that a provision had been made to accord maternity leave to all women job card holders under MNREGS besides payment of wages during the leave period. He asked the CEO Janpad to prepare a list of labourers offered jobs under MNREGS in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADM M l Gupta, SDM Q A Khan and J S Rajput, Deputy Collector R N Sahu, Additional CEO District Panchayat B K Verma besides other officials.
