The city police on Monday night raided a house situated in posh Shankar Nagar locality here and caught two persons including a girl on suspicion of their involvement in an alleged sex racket.
Acting on a tip off, a team led by Woman police station in-charge, Manju Rathore conducted a raid at house number J-10 in Shriram Nagar Phase-I of Shankar Nagar area.The team found two men and a woman inside the house. The house was rented by one Atul Sinha, a native of Pithora village.The girl in the house was found to be a resident of Mumbai who alleged that Sinha called her on the pretext of getting her a job in Raipur about three days ago.
Meanwhile, another man, who was present on the spot, managed to escape."We did not find the accused in any compromising position. However, as their presence was suspicious and they could not give any satisfactory reply about the gathering, a case under section 151 CrPC was registered against the youths,'' said Rathore.
