nCurrently, 2,225 Covid test centres are running in Chhattisgarh and 1,019 of them are providing Rapid Antigen Test facility, the government said on Friday.
Of the total centres, 660 provide RT-PCR test facility. Meanwhile, 546 centres are authorized to carry out sample collection and test through True-nat technique, said an official press release.
Health Minister T.S. Singh Deo has called for increasing the speed of the testing and providing quick medication facilities to the infected, it added.
Accordingly, the Health Department has increased the frequency of Covid test per day and speeded door-to-door survey to identify Covid suspects.
For Covid diagnosis, 174 Covid test centres are running in Raipur district, with 59 equipped with Antigen Test facility. To have test through True-nat technique, 59 sample collection centres exist.
Balodabazar-Bhatapara has 90 Covid test centres, Gariyaband 56, Mahasamund 84, Dhamtari 108, Durg 98, Bemetara 62, Balod 72, Kabirdham 79, Rajnandgaon 164, Mungeli 48, Raigarh 15, Janjgir-Champa 89, Bilaspur 61, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi 40, Korba 55 Bastar 49, Kanker 215, Bijapur 52, Narayanpur 28, Dantewada 60, Kondgaon 59, Sukma 39, Sarguja 72, Balrampur-Ramanujganj 102, Korea 106, Surajpur 53 and Jashpur has 95 test centres.
