Driver arrested
An 18-year-old youth lost his life after he collided head-on with trolley of a tractor near Urla daal mill, police said on Saturday. The accused driver has been arrested, police informed.
According to police, the incident happened on intervening night of Friday and Saturday while the deceased was going towards Urla on his bike
(CG-11-6115) along with one of his friends lakhan (19).
“A tractor -trolley (CG-04 DB-9471) was coming from Kumhari. The deceased identified as Pappu Puri (18) resident of Bilaspur was driving the bike. Pappu collided with the trolley of the tractor,” said police officer investigating the case.
Pappu was then rushed to a city hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said. lakhan has also sustained serious injury and according to doctors his condition is serious, police told reporters. Meanwhile, the tractor driver Chinta Ram, resident of Kumhari, has been arrested. Police has booked Chinta Ram under Sections 304 (A), 337 and 279 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) which reads to death caused due to negligence, Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety and rash driving.
