As many as 17,287 HIV positive people are registered with five Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) centers operational in the State, Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar on Friday informed in the Chhattisgarh Assembly.
In a written reply to Congress member Arun Vora, Chandrakar informed that five ART centers (ART centre in Raipur Medical College, ART centre in CIMS Bilaspur, Maharani Hospital Jagdalpur, District Hospital Durg and District Hospital Surguja) are operational in Chhattisgarh.
The Minister further informed that as of January 31, 2016, 7603 HIV patients are registered with ART center in Raipur Medical College, ART centre in CIMS (3439), Maharani Hospital Jagdalpur (1060), District Hospital Durg (4425) and District Hospital Surguja (760).
