A total of 159 fresh coronavirus positive cases were reported from different districts of Chhattisgarh on Sunday. Also, 117 Covid-19 patients were discharged after their recovery, officials said.
Among the fresh cases, Raipur accounts for 36, Surguja 26, Bastar 25, Korba 14, Durg 8, Baloda Bazar and Kanker 7 each, Bemetara 6, Dantewada 5, Kondagaon, Narayanpur, Bilaspur and Janjgir-Champa 4 each, Rajnandgaon 3, Korea 2, and Gariaband, Raigarh, Mungeli and Balrampur 1 case each.
With the addition of 159 cases, the
total number of Covid positive patients in Chhattisgarh has jumped to 5,407. Currently, there are 1,608 active Covid patients while 24 persons have died due to the deadly virus.
