Moreover, adequate reserves are provided to replace EVMs in the event of malfunctioning (if any) on the polling day, the Government informed.

The Commission has informed that the EVMs are subjected to various tests, as recommended by Technical Expert Committee (TEC), in extreme environmental conditions like winter, summer or rainy season, the Central Government informed.

Further detailed checks are carried out during First Level Check (FLC) and Commissioning in order to ensure its proper functioning at the time of poll. Intensive training is being given to the election officials to prevent EVM failures due to human errors, the Central Government informed.
