The highest number of Maoists numbering 145 have been arrested from Sukma district between January 1, 2018 and March 31, 2018, the Chhattisgarh Assembly was informed.
A total of 76 insurgents were held in Bijapur during the period.The details of arrests made in various other districts is as follows-- Bastar (4), Narayanpur (33), Dantewada (10), Bijapur (76), Kanker (9) and Kondagaon (25).
A total of 2262 Maoists were arrested during the period and 80 guns recovered from them, Home Minister Ramsewak Paikra informed Congress member Kawasi lakhma in a written reply.
