Minister for School Education, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Welfare and Cooperatives Dr Premsai Singh Tekam on Friday directed departments concerned to issue show-cause notices to 14 officials and employees during a surprise visit to his departmental offices in Mantralaya.
The notices were issued to the officials and employees as they were found absent during the inspection.
These employees and officials include nine from education department, four from SC/ST welfare department and one official and one employee from cooperative department.
The minister directed the officials and employees to be punctual in reaching the office and also reprimanded them for not maintaining the attendance register properly.
The minister also gave necessary instructions to the secretaries of the departments and expressed dismay over the state of affairs in the government offices.
