As many as 13 labourers were killed in industrial mishaps which took place in the State’s Raigarh district between 2015 and February 27 this year, informed labour Minister Bhaiyalal Rajwade in Chhattisgarh Assembly on Wednesday.
In a written reply to the question of Congress member Umesh Patel, labour Minister Bhaiyalal Rajwade informed that 13 labourers were killed and 20 labourers/workers suffered injuries in 23 industrial mishaps which took place in Raigarh district between 2015 and February 27 (2016).
The Minister further informed that compensation has been provided to injured and kin of labourers killed in the accident. Compensation is pending in only one case because dependents have not filed claim in labour Court.
