A total of 12,769 labourers migrated from Chhattisgarh during 2016-17, labour Minister Bhaiyalal Rajwade informed the Chhattisgarh Assembly on Tuesday.
In a written reply to Congress member Keshav Chandra, the Minister informed that 120 complaints on bonded labourers issue were received during 2015-16 and 2016-17.
After registering the complaints, the Government had got 261 labourers freed , he informed.
During 2015-16 and 2016-17, there were 70 complaints received from Janjgir-Champa district, Rajwade informed.
