Under the Right to Education Act, a total of 124 poor children got admission in private educational institutions in the district.

A ‘school admission festival’ was held at Narayanpur district headquarters from May 22 to June 5 to give wide publicity to the campaign.

During the admission festival, parents and guardians of the children actively participated in getting admission

to private educational institutions. In the admission festival, Collector Yashwant Kumar, Superintendent of Police Amit Kamble and DFO

Dilraj Prabhakar appealed to the directors of private educational institutions to come forward for the education of the poor children.

District Education Officer (DEO) D Samaiah issued instructions to all the private schools to admit poor

children in the 25 per cent reserved seats under the Right to Education Act and not to take any kind of fees from them.
