Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda informed Chhattisgarh Assembly on Wednesday that a total of 123 trees were felled in Narayaranpur Assembly segment during 2016-17 till May 2018 for road construction.
In a written reply to Congress member Santram Netam, the Minister informed that Rs 94,157 were deposited with the State government after tree felling.
No trees were planted in place of felled trees, he informed.
