A total of 1,200 women had been offered training for sewing and embroidery for attaining self employment at 23 welfare centres managed by Chhattisgarh labour Welfare Board, said an official statement here on Thursday. During 2012-13, a total of 1,638 children were offered scholarships under a scholarship programme managed by Chhattisgarh labour Welfare Board resulting in distribution of scholarship worth Rs16.45 cr, according to the statement.
