The Collector inquired about the working plan 2015-16 and also gave necessary instructions to make sure that farmers do not face any problem in selling sugarcane.  “like last year for analysis of expected sugarcane produce, a survey would be undertaken by revenue, agriculture, cooperative bank and field officers of sugarcane factory. The survey work would be undertaken from July to August 2015 and by September 2015 the data entry would be performed,” the Dayanand said.
After completion of survey work, the sugarcane factory would take the permission and approval of farmers willing to sell sugarcane and they will be separately marked in the software.   Officers informed that as per survey report, Jaggery producing units in district will also have to get approval and get farmers registered before purchasing sugarcane so that the sugarcane purchasing system could be improved.
The Patwari and Agriculture Expansion Officer of the area in which jaggery unit is located will perform the registration of farmers willing to sell their sugarcane for making jaggery, officials said.   Those farmers who were made shareholders before March 31, 2014 and have one share will be entitled to sell sugarcane up to two acres; however, those having more than single share could sell sugarcane grown in maximum three acres of land, officers informed.
