De-mining operations frequently carried out by personnel of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to prevent casualty, resulted in recovery of as many as 234 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) weighing around 1152 kg in insurgency-hit districts of Chhattisgarh’s Bastar Region in 2015, officials said on Saturday. As per information received, CRPF has recovered 76 IEDs weighing around 327 kg by March 31 this year while undertaking operations and ensuring security to road construction works.
