As many as 10.41 lakh people on Monday participated in the ‘Chhattisgarh Virtual Yoga Marathon’ in the state to mark the International Yoga Day.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, cabinet Ministers and the general public were among those who took part, said an official communication.
The highest participation took place in the distrits of Raigarh (1.43 lakh), Janjgir-Champa (1.29 lakh), Durg (88,284) and Bilaspur (80,068).
All those who registered themselves for the event got a digital certificate. The first 100 registrations from each district got a T-Shirt.
The participants uploaded and shared their photographs and videos of doing yoga on their social media account.
