As many as 1,020 employees of Bhilai Steel Plant, including those serving in the Mines, Plant and non-work areas were honoured with long Service Awards for giving 25 years of dedicated service of the company at various functions organised in the Plant on Sunday.
These include 130 executives and 890 non-executive employees who had joined the service in SAIl’s flagship unit, Bhilai Steel Plant in 1990.
At a function held at the Main Assembly Hall of Human Resources Development Centre, Bhilai, S Chandrasekaran, Chief Executive Officer gave away long service award to 61 executives of the rank of Assistant General Manager and above in the presence of lT Sherpa, ED (P&A), PK Sinha, ED (Mines-Rowghat), SK Saha, ED (Mines), PS Bhadauria, ED (MM), RK Rathi, ED (W) and RS Chaturvedi, ED (Projects).
Chandrasekaran greeted and congratulated the officers on achieving this once-in-lifetime milestone of 25 years of dedicated service of the Plant. Praising them for their contribution to the growth and progress of the Plant through challenging times, Chandrasekaran expressed his firm belief that in the subsequent years of their career they would use their wealth of experience to help the company overcome the challenges. “Team Bhilai has the courage to triumph over the odds,’’ he averred.
Sherpa welcomed the dignitaries and executives being felicitated with long Service Awards.
On this occasion, many executives who were felicitated, reminisced about their experiences, what the company has meant to them and wished the best future to Bhilai Steel Plant and SAIl.
