In order to make Public Distribution System more transparent and efficient, all the ration shops of the State will be computerised by the end of this month.
Out of 12,365 ration shops in State, computerisation of 11,134 shops have already been done while computerisation of remaining shops would be done by June 30.
Computerisation of ration shops was started in the State from March 2012 in form of core-PDS. From August 2015, computerisation of ration shops through Android-based tablets has commenced. Target of computerising all the ration shops of State is to be attained by June 30 that will provide online information about ration distribution to ration card holders.
