School Education Minister Kedar Kashyap on Friday announced that if a 10th and 12th class student spreads literacy among 10 illiterates, then the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) will award 10 bonus marks to the student. The students should concentrate and excel not only in studies but also in sports and other extra-curricular activities, he said.
Kashyap was speaking at the Annual Awards function at the Gujarati English Medium School Devendra Nagar here. The students should bring name and fame to school, city and State, he said while urging upon the students to top the 10th and 12th Board exams of CGBSE. Kashyap also urged upon the students to make the State 100 per cent literate by educating the ignorant masses. School teachers, Principal and a number of students were present at the function.
