A total of 1,219 candidates have filed 1,985 nomination papers for the 70 seats for the second phase of Assembly elections in Chhattisgarh, the Election Commission said .
A total of 1,245 nominations were filed on Monday, the last day of filing nominations for the second phase.
The candidates can withdraw their names until November 2.
A total of 1,63,14,479 voters are eligible to exercise their franchise on November 17 in 70 constituencies in Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg and Surguja divisions.
The votes will be counted on December 3.
