nSo far 1.81 lakh health and frontline workers in Chhattisgarh have received Covid vaccine, officials said on Monday.
“By February 8, in all 1.81 lakh health workers have been administered coronavirus vaccine," an official press release said. The vaccination drive started on January 16.
For administering vaccines, 3,984 sessions were held. Of the total people vaccinated, 13,183 were health workers and 2,609 frontline corona workers.
Raipur district tops the list with 18,954 people receiving the vaccine shots. Narayanpur district accounted for 944 beneficiaries -- the lowest number in the state.
Covid cases have also decreased in Chhattisgarh. According to the Health department’s report on November 8, 265 fresh Covid positive cases were reported of the total 24,768 samples tested across the state.
The report said that co-morbidity killed three people on February 8. So far, 3,744 people have died due to coronavirus in Chhattisgarh.
Also, by February 8, there were 4,190 active cases in Chhattisgarh.
