Activists of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) led by its state President on Saturday staged a street play at the Raipur Railway divisional office to protest against cancellation of trains in Chhattisgarh.
NSUI State President Neraj Pandey and Raipur District President Shantanu Jha said that every month scores of trains get cancelled but the Central government has become a mute spectator.
They said that there was no new recruitment in the Indian Railways while the existing posts were also being eliminated by the Centre.
They handed over a memorandum to the Raipur Railway Division authorities addressed to the Railway Minister to restore the trains meant for Chhattisgarh at the earliest.
