Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday gave away ‘Chhattisgarhia Bhent’ (basket of traditional gifts) to Home Minister Amit Shah on the occasion of ‘Pola Tihar’.
Baghel gave away the gifts at the inaugural function of the newly constructed building of the office of National Investigation Agency (NIA) here, an official statement said.
The basket included a bull (Nandi), a traditional wheat grinder (Jata-Pola) and a chukiya (traditional cup), all made of clay along with Chhattisgarhi traditional dishes.
The Chief Minister had invited Shah to attend the ‘Pola Tihar’ celebration at his residence here but Shah could not make it.
