To assess the nutrition level among children aged 0-5 years, adolescent girls will undergo Body Mass Index (BMI) and haemoglobin test as part of ‘Weight Festival’ to be held from July 7 to 16 across Chhattisgarh. The Women and Child Welfare and the Health Departments will organize the event at Anganwadi centres, an official communication said on Wednesday. If any child is found affected by malnutrition, necessary medical assistance will be provided. Girls aged 11 to 18 years will also be weighed and their BMI checked. They will also undergo haemoglobin tests to access their anaemic status. They will be provided nutrition and medical help if needed.
